I stopped by for a holiday lunch, courtesy of one of its members, and had a lovely experience. Our small group opted for the lunch buffet and everything was delicious. Our server was attentive and polite. We had a private room with a nice view. I can see why this venue is a local favorite.
A few times per year, I get to enjoy an event at Headliners and I think they continue to do a really great job at maintaining their level of service. I generally do their buffet lunch, which is always of good quality and variety. The views are terrific, especially from the men's room (IYKYK). My only possible pro tip is to request peach iced tea from the servers, it's quite delicious.

I cannot speak highly enough about the Headliners Club and the amazing job they did at my son's rehearsal dinner. McKinnon walked through every step with us, and the night could not have gone more beautifully or more smoothly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. The waitstaff and bartenders attended to our every need. If you are looking for the perfect location for a downtown Austin event or dinner, you will not be disappointed with the Headliners Club!
As an author published in 2015 by a respected business publishing house, John Wiley & Sons, I was nominated and then invited to join The Headliners Club in 2016. I accepted and joined in 2017. My husband John and I have enjoyed an exceptional membership for 18 months. The club is by invitation only, is located on the 21st floor, and has stunning views from north, south, east, and west. We attend a variety of events from weddings, book signings, charity fundraisers, and business dinners. A Dubai Delegation luncheon I co-hosted with the World Affairs Council at the Headliners on the 20th floor in March 2017 went seamlessly thanks to Sue Muller, Club Manager. If you are invited to join Headliners Cub, accept. It is a Canary diamond in Austin!
What a unique and amazing venue for a wedding. Having our reception at the Headliners Club was the best decision my husband and I made. I will be brief- The service as amazing. Highly professional and attentive. McKinnon was wonderful to work with. All of my many emails were answered promptly. She was always extremely professional and patient. The views are amazing. The twinkle lights around all of the windows were a great added decoration. The food was delicious. Overall, our reception went without a hitch due to the excellent service at the Headliners Club. I would recommend them to any bride and groom who has the ability to have their reception there. It is well worth it.
I spent many years enjoying the Headliners on my father-in-law's dime. Our dinners were reserved for special occasions such as Christmas, Anniversaries and other family events. It is a beautiful club which always feels very Old School. As in, old old school. But that's okay if people want to take me there, I'm game. The view of the Texas State Capitol is unparalleled and the lights along Congress at night and especially at Christmas are beautiful seen from the 21st Floor. Originally, The Headliners was organized by Charles Green, the once Executive Editor of the Austin American Statesman, for those people who work directly with and are elected to the Texas Legislature. It's now more a private club but you will still see some of the movers and shakers dining here. The food, drinks and service are always perfect. Marilyn and Jayne pose nude on the wall of the Men's room but I can't say how I know this.
The first rule of Headliners club is not to talk about Headliners club. OK, I'll dish. This place is a cut above the rest. The décor has been masterfully designed with wood paneling, luxurious cabinets and award winning books and mementos. It starts out with wait staff who truly practice an art long forgotten providing ninja like service. You're on the 24th floor of the Chase building so every view is a GREAT view. The furniture is plush and comfy and if I had enough time I would have fallen into a peaceful slumber. Food.....oh boy you're in for a treat and the weird thing is that you don't want this to end anytime soon because you'll be back in the real world soon enough. Membership has it's prividleges.
Great location for holiday parties! The Christmas parties here really put you in the spirit of the season. The evening downtown views of Austin are some of the best from the dining rooms because the windows wrap around the perimeter of the room. Let's not forget the food because we are distracted by the views. I have not provided any food pics because I wanted to savor the food with the views. It is quite an experience that should not be disturbed with picture taking. From steaks to fish to poultry to veggie dishes, all have been served to perfection. The staff has been very attentive at each of our visit. I look forward to my visits here. Next time, I will get food pictures for us. Promise!
